Terms and Conditions

By accessing or purchasing from the RetroCameras.ie website, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

1. General

All items sold through RetroCameras.ie are genuine retro or vintage cameras, both film and digital, as well as related accessories and consumables like film. Due to the nature of vintage items, they may show signs of wear and age. These characteristics are part of their history and are not considered defects or grounds for returns outside of our standard 14-day policy.

2. Payments

We accept secure payment methods, including credit and debit cards. All transactions are processed securely, and no payment details are stored by us. It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that all payment details provided are accurate and authorized.

3. Shipping

Orders are shipped the next working day after payment is processed. Shipping within Ireland is handled by AnPost and typically takes 2-3 working days. Shipping fees within Ireland are €9. We are not responsible for delays caused by the postal service or unforeseen circumstances beyond our control. Free shipping is available on orders of €100 or more.

4. Warranty on Used Cameras and Equipment

All used cameras and related equipment are covered by a 30-day warranty from the date of delivery. This warranty covers functionality but excludes aesthetic wear, minor imperfections, and signs of age. The warranty does not extend to long-term functionality beyond 30 days, given the nature of vintage items. Consumables such as film and batteries are not covered by this warranty.

5. Film, Expired Film, and Consumables

Due to the unpredictable nature of expired film, results from using such film can be variable and are not guaranteed. Customers purchasing expired film acknowledge that results may be unexpected. All sales of film, photo paper, and other consumables are final and non-returnable.

6. Returns and Refunds

Items, excluding consumables, may be returned within 14 days of delivery for a full refund, provided they are returned in the same condition as received. The buyer is responsible for the cost of return shipping unless the item was damaged or incorrect. Consumable items such as film and photo paper are non-returnable under any circumstances.

7. Limitations of Liability

RetroCameras.ie shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, punitive, or consequential damages arising from the use of this website or the purchase of any items sold through it. Our liability is limited to the amount paid by the customer for the product purchased.

8. Force Majeure

We are not responsible for delays or failure to perform due to causes beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, governmental restrictions, strikes, or other unforeseen events.

9. Customer Responsibility

Customers acknowledge that vintage and retro items are sold in “as is” condition and that imperfections related to age and use are common. It is the customer's responsibility to carefully review item descriptions and photographs before making a purchase.

10. Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including text, images, and logos, is the property of RetroCameras.ie unless otherwise stated. Unauthorized use of any content without prior written permission is prohibited.

11. Changes to Terms

RetroCameras.ie reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be posted on this page, and customers are responsible for reviewing the terms regularly. Continued use of the site implies acceptance of any updated terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Ireland. Any disputes arising from the use of this website or purchases made through it shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ireland.
