RetroCameras.ie offers a complete range of film, tape, and photo digitisation services in Ireland — all carried out locally in Athy, Co. Kildare.
Old media doesn’t last forever, and our goal is to preserve your memories in high quality digital format before they fade or get damaged.
Services include:
🎞️ Video tape transfer – VHS, VHS-C, MiniDV, Hi8, Digital8 and Betamax to digital
📽️ Cine film transfer – Regular 8mm and Super 8mm reels, frame-by-frame scanning
🧪 Film developing & scanning – 35mm and medium format, C-41 colour and traditional black & white
🖼️ Slide scanning – 35mm, mounted or unmounted, including glass slides
📸 Photo scanning – prints, large format photos, framed and antique images
🧑🎨 Photo restoration – colour correction, scratch and dust removal
🧾 Glass plate negative scanning – up to large format historical plates
💽 Archival projects – combining multiple formats into one digital collection
All work is handled carefully, processed by hand, and digitised using professional equipment for the best possible quality.
🚚 How It Works
1️⃣ Choose your service from the list below and add the quantity you need (e.g. 5 VHS tapes, 300 slides, etc.)
2️⃣ Complete checkout – this creates your service order.
3️⃣ Send your items to us - once your payment is received, we’ll check your order and email you all the details about where to ship your tapes, films or photos.
4️⃣ Don’t forget to add “Return Shipping” to your cart if you’d like your original items returned — fixed price €9 anywhere in Ireland (free for orders over €100).
5️⃣ Once finished, your digitised files will be uploaded to a secure online folder, and a download link valid for 30 days will be sent to you.
6️⃣ Alternatively, add a USB stick (€10) to your order — all files will be copied there before shipping back.
